Henk (left) and Rene are two leathermen who live and work in Amsterdam. Their latest venture is a 6 storey house overlooking a canal in the heart of the city which they are renting as "RoB Appartments". Each apartment is bigger than a standard London flat and includes its own front door, fully fitted kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living area, TV, videos, CD player etc. And it's only 300 metres from the leather bars! We've known Matthias for the last few years that he lived in London. He chose to leave London's leather scene behind for a town with a bridge and an open air museum, and they got married on 28th March 2003. True love indeed!

We've been friends with Liz and her husband John ever since we worked with Liz at NBC Europe in 1997. In July 2001 they joined the brain-drain to America, as Liz landed a job in Washington DC and took John with her. They made up a feeble story about needing to be closer to Liz's dad who lives in New York, but we know that they're really going because we have better scatter cushions than them. Michael and Rudi are two good friends in Stuttgart. We first met them in Amsterdam during Queen's Day 1999, and then stayed with them in Stuttgart for the eclipse in August '99. Rudi and Michael stayed with us in September 2000 after winning flights to London. This is Rudi (left) and Michael in our back garden.

This is Wim Heldens, a professional artist in Amsterdam who exhibits paintings all over the world. We met when he was exibiting a painting in London which had won an award. He trains at Barry's Fitness Centre in Amsterdam (the address is at the bottom of John's Dutch page). Wim's professional website is here. Dan and Steve live in Atlanta, Georgia. Steve is a writer and in his own words: "I'm the young, handsome one. I suppose you could mention that we've been together for well over 12 years, or does that just speak of our tolerance for pain? http://reeltime.cln.com is part of what I do for a living, and Dan is what I do for fun." Dan and Steve stayed with us in September 2001 and we took this picture of them on their last evening in London. Steve's the one on the left, by the way.
